How charges and refunds work

You pay only when an SMS arrives. Until then the price is only reserved, and it is released automatically if no code comes through.

SimVoro reserves the price of a number first and charges it only when a message arrives, so you pay only for numbers that actually receive an SMS.

Reserved, not charged

When you take a number, its price is reserved in your wallet. Your available balance goes down by that amount, but nothing has been charged yet: your wallet shows the amount as on hold.

Charged when the first SMS arrives

The reserved amount is charged when the first SMS is delivered to the number. More messages on the same number during the activation cost nothing extra — for example, when you ask the platform for a new code and request another SMS. Select Finish when you are done.

Released automatically when no SMS arrives

If no SMS arrives, the reservation is released and the full amount returns to your available balance. This happens automatically when:

  • you cancel the number before an SMS arrives;

  • the countdown on the activation page ends without an SMS;

  • you replace the number with a new one;

  • the number could not be issued.

A release is not a refund: you were never charged. Your wallet history shows the reservation and its release as separate entries.

The short waiting period before cancelling

Right after a number is issued there is a short period — usually a couple of minutes — during which it cannot be cancelled or replaced yet. The activation page shows when these options become available. Once an SMS has arrived, the number can no longer be cancelled, because the message has been delivered.

Replacing a number

If a platform rejects the number, or no code comes through, select Replace while the number is still waiting for an SMS. The old number is cancelled and its reservation released, and a new number for the same service and country is reserved at the current price. If that price has changed, you are asked to confirm it first.

Refunds after a charge

Once a code has been delivered, the service has been provided and the charge is normally final. If something went wrong — for example, the message clearly belongs to a different service than the one you chose — contact support and include the order ID from your activation page. Approved refunds are credited to your wallet and listed in your wallet history.

The Refund Policy has the full rules.
