Getting online in Africa
- Before you travel to Africa, check that your phone supports eSIM and is not locked to one carrier.
- Install the eSIM while you are on Wi-Fi, ideally before you leave. Each plan states when its validity starts.
- On arrival in Africa, choose the travel eSIM for mobile data and keep your usual SIM for calls and texts.
- Turn on data roaming for the travel eSIM line only — that is how travel eSIMs connect to local networks.
