About WhatsApp verification
WhatsApp registers each account to a phone number and confirms it with a six-digit code, sent by SMS or by voice call. Numbers here receive SMS only, so pick the SMS option and enter the code as soon as it shows on your activation page. The same process applies to the WhatsApp Business app.
WhatsApp asks for a new code whenever you reinstall the app or move to another phone, and a one-time verification number will not be able to receive it then. Turn on two-step verification with a PIN and an email address, and back up your chats, before you depend on the account. Bulk or automated messaging breaks WhatsApp's terms and gets accounts banned regardless of how they were verified.

Can I receive the WhatsApp voice-call code?
No, numbers here receive SMS only. If WhatsApp only offers a call, cancel the number before an SMS arrives and you won't be charged.
WhatsApp asks me to wait before requesting another code. Why?
WhatsApp throttles repeated code requests. If the waiting time is longer than the time left on your number, cancel it and try again later with a new number.
What happens if I reinstall WhatsApp?
WhatsApp sends a fresh code to the registered number, which you will not be able to receive later. Two-step verification and a chat backup keep you in control.
